Southeast Area Sales Manager – Atlanta, Georgia
This position is for a Southeast area sales manager in the transportation and logistics industry with a growing Global Fortune 500 company. The job is located in the Atlanta metro area.
The salary range for this position is from $100,000 to $140,000.
Job Responsibilities
The person hired for this job is responsible for growing both import and export sales accounts for the company, with a sales territory that includes the southeast United States from the Carolinas, south to Florida and west to Texas. This position also includes the management responsibilities for seven sales representatives.

Job Requirements
This job requires a bachelor’s degree as well as previous experience in a sales manager role. At least 10 years of experience in the supply chain or logistics industry is another must, with five of those years spent working as a senior-level sales professional.
As with any sales position, exceptional communication skills are vital. The successful candidate will demonstrate a history of successful relationship-building in addition to exemplary time-management and multitasking abilities. Since this is a management position with a collection of direct reports, expert leadership and inspirational capabilities are another requirement.
Strong financial and budgeting skills – including the ability to forecast trends – are desired. Finally, the successful candidate will boast keen knowledge of importing and exporting, as well as ocean-based and intermodal transport methods.
