A hiring authority is NOT going to return your call unless they understand the WIIFM (What’s In It For Me). If a person doesn’t see a benefit in calling you back; they won’t. It is also counter productive for you to become a stalker. With caller ID, it is very easy for your target to identify you before picking up their phone.

This message makes the person feel IMPORTANT because they can interrupt you no matter what you are doing. It doesn’t matter if you leave a work, home or cell phone. This gives the impression that you are leaving a work number.
Make sure the message on your voicemail is very professional. If you are not currently employed, you cannot have children answering your phone. Everyone in your family must understand the importance of answering the phone professionally.
